How do I get a copy of my Youth Protection Training
Certificate at www.scouting.org?
1.) Login to myscouting.org
2.) Once in click on "My Account"
3.) There should be a brown text link on the left for
"e-learning" click on it.
4.) Under the "general" tab you should see
the YPT button is green and on the same row, click the link that says
"View Certificate" that will open a new window with a copy of
your certificate.
5.) Save the PDF file and email it to the Pack Trainer.
Where do I turn in my
YPT certificate? Once you've completed the Youth Protection
Training (YPT), save the certificate PDF and email it to the Pack Trainer.
What does a Den Leader need to be 100% trained? To be
100% trained, Den Leaders need to complete Youth Protection Training (online),
Fast Start Training for Den Leaders (online),
Basic Training for Den Leaders (district
calendar), and New Leader Essentials (district
calendar)).
What does a Pack Leader/Committee Member need to be 100%
trained? To be 100% trained, Pack Leaders/Committee Members need to
complete Youth Protection Training (online),
Fast Start Training for Pack Committee (online),
Basic Training for Den Leaders (district
calendar), and New Leader Essentials (district
calendar).
How do you sign up? - For online courses, follow this link:
For resident courses, simply find the training you need on the district
calendar, contact the Pack Trainer with your planned courses, and show up
at the indicated time
What should you wear? - The training sessions are
informal; naturally the BSA always encourages us to wear our uniforms to
scouting events such as this, although, don't let the attire get in your
way of attending this required training
What should you bring to training? - Simply bring your
attention, an open mind, a note pad and a pencil/pen.
With all this training, can an Adult get recognized
for completing it? - BSA has a very robust adult recognition program.
Adults can receive achievement by completing the requirements for Den
Leader, Cubmaster, Pack Trainer, and Cub Scouter Awards.
